The Man, released in August 2019, is arguably one of Taylor Swift’s most feminist songs. It denounces the privileges of men over women, especially in Hollywood. The clip was finally released on YouTube on February 27, 2020 and has already had more than 10 million views in less than 24 hours. And with good reason: to make the clip, the artist turned herself into a man to embody “The Man”. A feat made possible by the makeup artist Bill Corso, who created the makeup for the films and series Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, Deadpool, and more recently Scandal.
