Neymar, 31, was introduced to a 60,000-person audience at the King Fahd International Stadium when Al-Hilal tied Al-Feiha 1-1.
As a massive hologram of Neymar’s Fifa card lighted up the night sky, fans lit up the gloomy stadium with flashlights.
This was followed by a spectacular drone show depicting Neymar’s face, which could be seen from outside the stadium.
Neymar’s iconic number 10 was displayed on the pitch as he made his way out to the center circle, waving to supporters as he basked in their admiration.
As the crowd roared, Neymar went out and began high-fiving the mascots.
A spectacular pyrotechnic show followed, leaving the onlookers perplexed, with rockets and flames creating an extraordinary atmosphere.
Another hologram greeted Neymar with the words “Neymar is blue.”

However fans will have to wait to catch a glimpse of the Brazil legend in action as he is injured.
Al-Hilal manager Jorge Jesus indicated it could be several weeks until he is fit enough to play, despite Neymar being called up to the Brazil squad.
Jesus said: “Neymar is an innovative and creative player, he will help us to improve, but he has a slight injury now and I don’t know when he will return. Maybe he will be ready in mid-September.
“I don’t know how the Brazilian national team [could have] called him, he is not ready.”
Al-Hilal have made numerous high-profile acquisitions this summer, the most recent being Aleksandar Mitrovic from Fulham.
Ruben Neves and Sergei Milinkovic-Savic, both midfielders, have joined from Wolves and Lazio, respectively.
