Taylor Swift is asking her fans to stand down when it comes to her ex-boyfriends.

The singer addressed her loyal fanbase Saturday night about their tendency to troll the men who have been romantically linked to Swift. During her Eras Tour show in Minneapolis, Swift performed her song “Dear John” for the first time in nearly a decade — which comes from her 2010 album, Speak Now. The song is widely believed to be about John Mayer, who Swift was reportedly dating sometime between 2009 and 2010.

Swift appeared to have enough of the online harassment and told fans to lay off ahead of the Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) release on July 7.

“I was hoping to ask you, that as we lead up to this album, I would love for that kindness and that gentleness to extend onto our internet activities,” Swift said on stage while talking about friendships made at the Eras Tour.

Many Swifties have often left comments related to Swift under Mayer’s — and other exes’ social media posts — including writing “Dear John” lyrics.

“I’m 33 years old. I don’t care about anything that happened to me when I was 19 except for songs I wrote and the memories that we made together,” Swift said at her concert.

She continued: “What I’m trying to tell you, is that I am not putting this album out so that you can go and should feel the need to defend me on the internet against someone you think I might have written a song about 14 million years ago. I do not care. We have all grown up. We’re good.”

Swift is in the process of re-recording the albums she made while signed with Big Machine Records in order to own the masters. The last “Taylor’s Version” album to come out was her 2012 album Red. Fans speculated that songs from Red including “All Too Well” are about Jake Gyllenhaal — who has also caught the heat from Swifites over the years.

Got to play shows for some of the most generous crowds this weekend in Minneapolis ☺️☺️☺️ Loved every second of it. Thanks to everyone there. And now we’re soo close to Speak Now (my version!) Only 1️⃣2️⃣ days left! See you next weekend Cincinnati! pic.twitter.com/anTCHla9wD

Mayer has for the most part remained tight-lipped about his relationship with Swift, but did say in an interview in 2012 that he was “humiliated” by “Dear John.” Mayer’s 2013 song ”Paper Doll” is widely believed to be about Swift as a response to “Dear John.”

Mayer performed “Paper Doll” at one of his concerts last year and wondered aloud why people aren’t huge fans of it.

“I wonder if people don’t like it because it sounds a little pissed off,” Mayer said at the time. “I don’t really like ‘pissed off’ as a song. I think it was more ‘hurt.’ I think there’s something about it that’s a little ‘bitchy.’ I try not to give bitchiness in the song, and that happens sometimes.”
